Ferrari 458 Italia recalled over fire risk

In the past 4 weeks, there where several media reports of Ferrari 458 Italias catching fire, after a investigation Ferrari has now issued to recall all the 1,248 units.
Ferrari determined the cause of the fires to be related to an adhesive used to attach a heat shield on the inside rear wheel. When the engine reached a high temperature, the adhesive melted and eventually cause fire.
All recalled heat shields will be mounted with mechanical fasteners once the adhesive is removed.
Owners who had their vehicles damaged by fire will receive a new model.
